This week Caroline's theme at one powerful hour is Children.
She said we could use anything that comes to mind when we think of children. My childhood was filled with outside play with neighboring kids/cousins and running after bullock carts to grab a stick or two of sugar cane etc, etc. I don't think I have anything to create those:-)
So I chose what my children are into, Fairy tales. The fairy was cut out of an ad Disney cruises sent us. She was too good to be thrown in the trash, even though I am never again going on a Disney cruise(too much disney for an adult).
The background is created using scraps of rubber stamps, stamped in a very light ink and then colored in using roseart glitter pens. Fairy has been mounted using dimensionals. The corners are punched using MS border punch, by pushing the card stock corner into the punch. Here is a closeup of the fairy (Fauna) cut out.
Have a fairy wonderful day! TTFN.

Glitter die cuts: K&Co.
Fairy image: Cut out of junk mail.
Accessories: Liquid Glass and dimensionals.

OH Anna...I love the green fairy the most! Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney/Fairy Tale also. And the glittery leaves in the background are just too perfect! I love your interpretation! Fabulous simply fabulous.
Thanks for taking the challenge!
This is so cool. I loved that fairy when I was a kid. I have been saving my rubber scraps, too. Now I know what to do with them.
Beautiful!!! I wasn't a girly-girl growing up. So I'm thinking of doing a piece on what Emily likes. Which, surprise surprise are the Disney princesses and few other things. =)
Very cute Anna!!!
Hope you have a great weekend.

Well, when I'M creating bullocks of sugar canes, I usually use toothpicks! Or twigs from the yard ... or tiny wooden dowels from Mike's ... OR, I can go about 3 miles west and pick as much as I want of the real thing. Painted toothpicks are w-a-y easier though!
This card is soooo adorable, Anna!! Love the bright colors ... and how clever to recycle an ad!
Has the eagle landed? It took off from here about 30 minutes ago ...

You never cease to amaze me! Trash to the most gorgeous treasure! I love the movement in the swirls. Magic! And the way you glittered everything. You are WAAAAAAY too good! P.S. Your childhood sounds a LOT like mine (I grew up on a cattle farm for much of my childhood. I played with a lot of sticks, no sugar cane though just apples & berries Gee I sound like a wild bear or something, LOL :o) Big Hugs OXO
