Not one my favorite...

cards. Not too fond of the way it turned out, but...nothing else to post today :-) Don't worry, you don't have to leave me a courtesy comment. LOL!

I made this card with three things in mind. YKYR's Heavy-Metal challenge, Challenges to Love "Bling it on" challenge and for the Caring Community at my DS's school for a lady who is having major surgery.

CTMH had a clearance sale at the beginning of the month and they had these sheets of metal, which they called silver foil for 2 bucks. I have never seen any thing like this and I thought I would give it a try for that price. Two 9x12 sheets of aluminum(I think), very pliable and perfect substitute for my soda cans. I embossed it using cuttlebug embossing folder and colored using sharpie.

Now my relatives and friends don't have to think I am weird for asking them to give me their empty soda cans. I almost never drink soda, so I had to take theirs. ROFL!

The flower in the middle was a again from the Decorative Dainties (Sorry Smriti! I have yours, but it came after my PO trip yesterday) that I used in my ornament below. I had some left overs and I cut it up to mount on my metal and blinged it on. The corner flourishes/flowers and sentiment are from inkadinkado Collaged Expressions set. Inkadinkado clear stamps and CTMH inks don't get along very well :-(

See I blinged the corners too. You just can't see very well :-)

Thanks for stopping by today. TTFN.

Well, I like this metal myself! I think it looks really cool! Did you emboss it?...well duh, yea, but how? LOL! Also, did you use markers on it,for the red color? I think something this shiny, just doing the embossing and it being the whole card, maybe just a shear ribbon, would be soo pretty for Christmas, like using one of the CB new Christmas folders...got me thinking! LOL!

Your card looks great and I'm wild about the stamped flowers on each corner. The colors are vivid and the bit of bling is so pretty!

Anna...sometimes we like our stuff and sometimes we don't...like other's have said don't be so hard on yourself you are fabulous!

You may like it a little more if you ruffed up the silver I'm not sure I keep recalling how you thought you made your tags look "dirty" but it may be worth a try.

Note in advance, this is NOT a courtesy comment, LOL. You are too funny! I love this! How you got the metal to look like it had ribbon running through it, (that is some cool metal! And the way the corners are stamped. What a great idea. And That bling looks so cute and wee! She'll be delighted. You're an angel! :o) xx, mel

P.S. I've GOT to do that metal challenge...

HA!! I just did a card too that I spent about 40 minutes on and I just thought it was horrible. But I posted it anyway.. Sometimes we do cards that just don't turn our crank. Oh well. live and learn.
Hope you have a great day Anna!!

YOu are too hard on yourself, the metal is really cool with the musical notes and what a way to think outside the ink!
